About
I am a theoretical physicist currently working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Theoretical Physics at Seoul National University, in collaboration with Prof. Bohm-Jung Yang. My active research sits at the intersection of condensed matter physics, quantum computation, and materials science.
I received my Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Missouri–Columbia in August 2025, where I worked under the supervision of Prof. Giovanni Vignale and Dr. Guang Bian. Prior to my current role, I also worked as a quantum research intern and algorithm developer at Chinar Quantum AI.
Research Interests
- Quantum Materials & Twistronics: Investigating moiré heterostructures, twisted bilayer graphene, and correlated flat-band physics. My current theoretical frameworks explore quantum metric nematicity, nonlinear Kerr effects, and altermagnetic responses via quantum geometric tensor signatures.
- Hamiltonian Simulations & Algorithms: Developing and benchmarking hybrid quantum-classical algorithms to solve ground states of lattice models. I focus specifically on utilizing Sample-based Krylov Quantum Diagonalization (SKQD) and Variational Quantum Eigensolvers (VQE).
- Optimization Pipelines: Designing and implementing optimization workflows using Python, MATLAB, and Qiskit to bridge classical numerical solvers with quantum hardware.
