Vita & Background

I grew up in Jhargram, West Bengal. My academic training began at Midnapore College, followed by the University of Hyderabad and JNCASR Bangalore.

I subsequently moved to the United States to complete my Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Missouri–Columbia, where I worked under the supervision of Prof. Giovanni Vignale and Dr. Guang Bian to explore emergent quantum phenomena in 2D materials.

Now based in Seoul, I balance my postdoctoral research in hybrid quantum-classical simulation workflows with exploring the city, reading plot-driven fiction, and maintaining my CrossFit and strength training routines.
